The UCAS Card scheme is for Year 12, S5 and equivalent students. It can be used as an invaluable free reference tool in tandem with your existing careers and higher education provision, or simply as a trustworthy provider of information and support.

Available to students and teachers alike, the UCAS Card website features guidance on how to access the best study and revision resources, a UCAS application timetable, a finance section, student profiles, entertainment sections featuring games, music and film reviews, downloads and regular competitions.

Teachers and advisers can access the site simply by clicking on the adviser login and entering their school number and staff-only password. These details will have been sent to your school in November. You can find out which of your students have registered from visiting the adviser area of the UCAS Card website.

Once your students have applied to UCAS, they can register with the brand-new website exclusively for students - www.yougofurther.co.uk.

yougofurther is supported by UCAS and allows students to make friends with other applicants who are going to the same university or college and/or will be on the same course. They can also chat to students already at university or college about student life or specific universities or colleges.

There are many forums in which students can talk to other people like themselves about anything - from how to make new friends to the latest topical issues.

yougo's got all the essential information they'll need for life at university. Whether it's Jobs, Money, Travel, Music, Film, Fashion, Housing or Healthy Living - yougo's got it covered.

UCAS applicants and current higher education students can register today - www.yougofurther.co.uk
