Our son left school last year to work. Now he wants to go to university. How does he apply?

Whether he is at school or applying as an individual, your son will apply online. As he left only last year, it seems likely his school will want to write his reference and use their Apply system to do this. He should talk it over with his school. A tutor will give him a buzzword so he can access the school's system. If he applies in this way, the school will enter a reference on his application and send the full application to us.

If he applies as an individual, his school reference should be sent to him by email and he can cut and paste it into his application and send the application to us himself.
